FOR MOM
- Lip balm
- Focal point (picture, photo or stuffed animal)
- Warm socks
- Hairbrush
- Pillows
- Camera
- Reading material
- List of phone numbers of family and friends
- Instant energy food for support person (granola bars, fruit)
- CDs/CD player
- Nightgowns (1 or 2) – should open easily in the front if breast-feeding
- Robe
- Slippers
- Underwear
- Sanitary pads
- Cosmetics and toiletries – especially shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash
- Clothing that fit when you were 4-5 months pregnant will be the most comfortable for the trip home
FOR NEW BABY
- Car seat
- Going-home outfit, including a diaper
- Receiving blanket
- Sweater and cap, depending on the weather
- Heavier outer blanket, depending on the weather
