Classes

North Kansas City Hospital offers numerous classes and seminars for expecting moms and dads. These classes cover everything from the first trimester to delivery to newborn care. Call 816-691-1688 to register and check back here often, as classes are always being updated and added.

Childbirth Preparation
4-week class or 1-day express class covers pregnancy, labor and delivery. Also includes a tour of the Maternal Child Unit.

Beyond Birth
2-week class or 1-day express class focuses on the post partum period, newborn care and breast-feeding.

Grandparent Education
Highlights changes in labor and delivery and newborn care. Learn how to support the new parents, find out about safety issues and receive a tour of the Maternal Child Unit.

Sibling Education
Children ages 3 to 9 learn about the new baby that is soon to arrive.

Maternal Child Unit Tour
Tours are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.; registration is required. Saturday sessions are available. Call for dates and times.
